Meet the Team
Lilian T. Perez
Lilian T. Perez is an accomplished music teacher with 18 years of experience, specializing in piano, voice, choir conducting, music theory, and music history. She has taught in renowned institutions in Cuba and Texas, including Katy Music Studio, the Great Performers School of Piano and Music, and El Sistema Texas. In addition to her teaching work, she has served as a choir director, notably as the assistant director and singer of the Cantores de Cienfuegos Choir for a decade, and as the director of the Monserrat Parish Choir. Her academic background includes studies at the University of Cienfuegos and the National School of Music in Havana, with a focus on choir conducting and vocal performance. Lilian combines her pedagogical skills with a solid technique in piano and voice, standing out for her empathy, leadership, and passion for music. This has enabled her to nurture her students' talents and participate in various festivals and recitals internationally. She currently offers piano and voice lessons, guiding her students through the musical arts with dedication and professionalism.
Joel Ferrer
Originally from Cienfuegos, Cuba, Joel Ferrer is a professional pianist and composer with over 20 years of experience. He graduated from the CSM Institute in Cienfuegos, where he specialized in piano performance. Throughout his career, Joel has taught piano both in-person and online, including at the Benny Moré School of Art and at Jota Tone Lab, where he teaches students to play piano in a simple and accessible way, guiding learners of all levels to refine their skills. In addition to classical piano, Joel has performed with the popular music band Bouquet, showcasing his versatility in contemporary music styles. As a composer, Joel has created works for choral ensembles, piano, and other formats. He has participated in international music festivals in Spain, Switzerland, and France, earning awards for his contributions. His teaching approach blends classical techniques with modern improvisation, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for his students.

REVIEW LUMINA MUSIC ACADEMY’S POLICIES IN DETAIL
RATES AND ENROLLMENT
Enrollment fees are charged monthly, covering one weekly lesson of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the chosen plan. The monthly fee is fixed regardless of the number of weeks in the month.
If payment is not received by the deadline, we reserve the right to offer your spot to another interested student. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you arrive late, you will receive the remaining lesson time, but the class will not be extended beyond the scheduled time.

We accept payments by credit card, Zelle, or check.
Payment must be made before the first day of each month to keep your schedule reserved.
CODE OF CONDUCT
We expect students and their families to maintain a respectful attitude toward staff, other students, and the teaching space.
PHOTO AND VIDEO POLICY
At certain times, we may ask for your consent to take photos or videos during lessons or events for promotional and educational purposes. We will always respect your decision and only use images if you expressly authorize us.
MAKE-UP LESSONS
We understand that unforeseen events may occur. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. In that case, the lesson can be rescheduled. Late notice results in the loss of the lesson and payment will not be refunded.
HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS
Lumina Music Academy may be closed during official holidays or planned vacations. Affected lessons will be rescheduled.
LIABILITY
By participating, you agree to release Lumina Music Academy, its staff, and instructors from liability for any injury, accident, or damage. Lumina Music Academy is not responsible for indirect damages.
